Smart Education in Ireland :Up to 20 New Jobs with Vodafone Ireland

Up to 20 new jobs will be created in Dublin as part of a €7m investment in Vodafone’s data centre to provide new services for its business and public sector customers in Ireland.

The 20 new jobs will be mainly technical roles.

The new services will form part of a Vodafone Cloud and Hosting network of 18 data centres in Ireland, the UK, Germany and South Africa.

The development comes on the heels of Vodafone announcing 200 new permanent jobs as part of a €60m investment in a new inside sales initiative that will be based at Carrickmines.

The new services, which will be available from the end of October 2015, will enable customers to securely outsource their full IT hardware resources and store large volumes of data and software applications with Vodafone, in either dedicated or shared infrastructure environments.

The expansion will grow Vodafone’s headcount in Ireland to 2,000 people.

He added: “At a time when unemployment figures are decreasing, it is unacceptable that the number if highly qualified graduates leaving Ireland is now increasing. There is clearly a significant void in supports and opportunities for graduates that must be addressed without delay.”

"Ireland is emerging the best place to study nowadays...many students are selecting Ireland because the country offers many good reasons which no other country till now offers", says Mr. Deepak, Education Manager, Career XL Services..
