Course overview:
The use of stem cells for research and in the clinical arena is one of the most exciting areas of modern science. Our MSc will help enable you to develop an up-to-date, advanced understanding of this exciting area. The application of stem cells and new regenerative medicines will help solve major longstanding health problems – for example age-related disorders, diseases such as chronic heart disease, and spinal cord injury.

The MSc in Stem cells and Regenerative medicine at University of Chester was a perfect fit for me as it helped me to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on the therapeutic use of different types of stem cells.
In 2017, I had developed and completed a proof of concept study on developing new therapies using adult mesenchymal stem cells. After completing the proof of concept study, I wanted to gain further theoretical and practical knowledge on the therapeutic uses of adult mesenchymal stem cells and therefore decided to apply for Master’s degree.
The MSc in Stem Cells and Regenerative medicine at University of Chester was a perfect fit for me as it helped me to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on the therapeutic use of different types of stem cells. My dissertation topic was “investigating the effects of low intensity pulsed ultrasound and serum-free conditions on angiogenic properties of human dental pulp-derived mesenchymal stem cells.” I hope to undertake a PhD after my Master’s degree and pursue my dream of develop new therapies using adult mesenchymal stem cells.
