Smart Education in Ireland : AerCap announces 100 jobs in Ireland

Aviation leasing company AerCap has announced the creation of 100 new skilled jobs in Ireland.

The roles are being created across sales and marketing, aircraft technical, legal, contracts management, finance and treasury functions.

The investment is being supported by IDA Ireland

AerCap, which is headquartered in Amsterdam, has 1,300 owned and managed aircraft in its current fleet and a portfolio of 470 high-demand, fuel-efficient aircraft on order. Its aircraft are leased to 200 customers in 90 countries.

The new Airbus A350 XWB, which flew into Dublin from Toulouse for today's announcement event, will form part of AerCap's core fleet in the coming years.

“Over the past year we have created over 100 new highly skilled jobs and intend to continue growing our operations in Dublin and Shannon,” said AerCap CEO, Aengus Kelly. “Through our people, suppliers and providers of technical support we contribute over US$100m to the Irish economy each year.

“The A350 XWB is one of the most technologically advanced commercial aircraft in the world today and strategically important to our long term success.”
